<p><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Avoid Unhealthy, Cancer-Causing Foods</span></strong><br />
Many experts have stated that trans-fats are just as or even more dangerous than tobacco. While food manufacturers are not required by the U.S. to list <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>trans-fats</strong> </span>on food labels until January 2006, fortunately many are. Avoid foods with trans fats.</p>
<p>Read the label! <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">The FDA has allowed a manufacturer to say &#8220;0 grams trans fat&#8221;  if it contains less than .5 gram per serving.</span></strong> So you may actually be consuming serveral grmas of trans fat by eating the products. Any ingredient that is &#8220;<span style="color:#ff0000;">hyrodgenated</span>&#8221; or &#8220;<span style="color:#ff0000;">partially hydrogenated</span>&#8221; is a trans fast subsatnce.</p>
<p>Avoid over-consumption of alcohol. Also eliminate artificial sweeteners and processed foods, and work toward drastically reducing sugars. As noted above, avoid charring and frying meats and other foods altogether.</p>
<p>Finally, if you consume meats try to consume only natural, pasture-raised. Among their many other health risks, mass-produced meats are higher in omega-6 fats that Americans consume far too many of and that can also lead to cancer. <p><strong> Limit Intake of Processed Meats and Trans Fats:</strong> Processed meats, like lunchmeats, hot dogs, bacon and sausages, have been linked to prostate and other cancers.<br />

<p> <strong>Exercise Regularly.</strong> Exercise will reduce your risk of just about every type of cancer. It  can also reduce your risk by influencing hormone levels and your immune system, according to ACS</p>
<p><strong>Avoid Exposure to Environmental Chemicals and Air Pollution.</strong> </p>
<p><strong>Get the proper amounts of Vitamin D</strong> &#8211; outdoor activities are healthy</p>

<p>There is not doubt that for some people it is. I feel that the problem is that we are all walking around scared to death that this horrible thing will happen to us, especially women and breast cancer. Therefore we line up and get or sreening tests done like good little &#8220;sheep&#8221;.</p>
<p>Knowlege is power, and if you understand what causes cancer (predominately diet and lifestyle) then you already know how to prevent it and protect yourself. So if and when you decide to have a screening, is based on your decision, not the media telling you what they want you to do.</p>

Studies have shown that excess weight in the mid-section seems to be the most dangerous.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"><strong>Inflammation can be responsible for the following conditions:</strong> thrombosis, heart disease, strokes, diabetes, arthritis, and insulin resistance.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">Scientists now are looking at fat as an organ.  They found that the fat cells “adipocytes” have several jobs.  Adipocytes release vital energy-producing fatty acids and also store the fatty acids for later use.  It is also responsible for releasing hormones that help to regulate body weight.  Scientists have learned that for the overweight and the obese they are also releasing inflammatory chemicals.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">By controlling the amount of fat storage in your body you will improve and prevent many diseases.  <strong>Eating less and having healthy food choices along with exercise on a regular basis</strong> are still the best ways to treat obesity and prevent disease.</span></span></span></p>

<p> <span class="Object"><span class="Object">Today</span></span>, the fires of <strong>inflammation</strong> are raging all   over the body. That&#8217;s why we are seeing an   epidemic of diseases including autoimmunity (24  million people), allergy (50 million), and   asthma (30 million), as well as cardiovascular   disease (60 million), cancer (10 million), and<br />
  diabetes (14 million). These, it has been   recently discovered, are primarily inflammatory   conditions.</p>
<p><strong>What causes inflammation in our bodies&#8230;</strong></p>
<ol>1. Our inflammatory <strong>diet</strong>, which consists of enormous amounts of sugar (158 pounds per person per year) and refined flours, as well as trans fats and saturated fats </p>
<p>2. Food allergens—mostly delayed reactions to food or hidden allergens that lead to “brain allergies” (allergic reactions in the body that cause inflammation in the brain—more about these in a moment)</p>
<p>3. Imbalances in digestive function and the gut immune system that produce widespread systemic effects</p>
<p>4. Toxins such as mercury and pesticides (and the 85,000 mostly untested toxins in our environment), which have been linked to immune dysfunction and autoimmune diseases</p>
<p>5. Low-grade, hidden, or chronic infections such as HIV-associated dementia, syphilis, and Lyme disease, which can cause many neurologic and psychiatric “diseases”</p>
<p>6. Stress—emotional or physical, such as trauma</p>
<p>7. Sedentary lifestyle</p>
<p>8. Inadequate sleep—less than 7 hours a night</p>
<p>9. <strong>Nutritional deficiencies</strong> such as vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin D, zinc, and omega-3 fats </p>
